Resolved We are pleased to report that we have received confirmation that power to the exchange where a fire occurred is now fully restored. Services affected should now be reconnected. We apologise on behalf of the carrier for the disruption this has caused. If you continue to experience any issues, please contact TTG Support. We will be issuing RFOs in due course. Update Further to our last update, we have received confirmation that the fire is contained and power is being restored to the BT Exchange in Newcastle, and we are now seeing some services being re-established. Please note that due to the staged restoration of power, service recovery will also be staged, so we ask for your continuing patience if your services are not yet fully restored. On behalf of the carrier, we sincerely apologise for the disruption.

Update We have received an update that the fire is in a BT exchange in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The fire brigade is onsite and power to the site has been isolated. BT major incident teams are co-ordinating activities to resume connectivity as quickly as possible. We would like to thank you for your continued patience during this time. A further update will be published around 17:00 or sooner should information become available.

Investigating Service Outage - Further Update: we are advised that there is a core BT outage affecting 000s of customers across multiple providers. Initial reports indicate this is due to an Exchange fire and is localised to the North of England, affecting multiple Network Carriers. We apologise on behalf of the carrier for the disruption and are working with our providers to understand the issue and a timeline for resolution. We will issue further updates as we receive them. We are advised the next update is likely to be around 1500. We are applying diverts where possible, so please contact TTG Support if required, but please be aware we are dealing with a very high volume of calls and requests at the moment, so we thank you in advance for your patience during this time.
