We have received an update that the fire is in a BT exchange in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The fire brigade is onsite and power to the site has been isolated. BT major incident teams are co-ordinating activities to resume connectivity as quickly as possible. We would like to thank you for your continued patience during this time. A further update will be published around 17:00 or sooner should information become available.
